* For those of you who may have an incoming kindergartener next year, there are two scheduled parent info meetings on Monday, May 4th in the EGR High School's little auditorium. One will be held at 2:00, the other will be at 7:00 pm.

What we are learning about in school:
- Literacy: We are learning about the blends we hear at the beginning of a word as well as long/short vowel sounds in a word.
- Writing: We just started a new unit on non-fiction writing. We are "researching" non-fiction books about animals and then writing our own non-fiction book about that animal based on our research.
- Math: We just started a new chapter on 3D shapes. We are learning how to describe a 3D shape by using the words "flat surface" and "curved surface" and are also learning how to draw 3D shapes.
- Science: We are continuing to learn about living and non-living things. Next week we will be doing an earthworm investigation!
