We have had an awesome first few days of school! I can tell this year is going to be another great year! Here are some updates for this week and next...
* Picture Day is on Monday!! You will find order forms in your child's blue Friday folder that will come home on Friday. Make sure to either order your prints online or send in the order form on Monday morning.
* Friday folders will come home every single Friday. Please make sure to send them back to school before the next Friday. Any work that is sent home can be kept at home, just make sure to return any forms that I may need.
* Homework! Writing folder collage- in your child's Friday folder you will find a dark blue folder that has a piece of white paper in the front. You and your child will need to make a collage on this white piece of paper for their writing folder for this unit which focuses on personal narratives. We will be using these collages to help generate ideas to write about. They will need to glue pictures of things they have done, places they have gone, things they like to do, etc. These can be actual photos along with magazine clippings. Make sure that you make this collage with your child so that they know and remember what the pictures are from. Please return these folders by next week Wednesday, September 14th. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
* If you haven't filled out a Field Trip form, please click this link to download a form. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_6jsfCvYceZNlBveXNuUmVoUlU/view?ts=57d00695
* Mark your calendars! Parent Information Night (Curriculum Night) will be on Tuesday, September 20th from 6-7pm in our classroom. This is going to be very informational so it'll be important that I have at least one parent/guardian here for each child.
* Just a reminder- please make sure not to pack any snacks with peanut/tree nuts due to our allergy kiddos. If you spoke with me about your child's allergy and would like to store some special treats here at school to replace the birthday treats that are brought in, please do so asap since we are beginning to celebrate some birthdays.
