* March 23rd-30th we will be having a "book buying" opportunity during lunch recess where all of those donated books will be on sale for $1.00 each. All the proceeds will be used to purchase crafts and recess supplies for our sister school, Godfrey Lee. Also, any unsold books will be donated to Godfrey Lee as well.
* PTO General Meeting:
Next Tuesday, March 8th at 8:30am at the PTO General meeting, Lakeside's
Reading Specialist, Susan Stearns will be presenting on how parents can work
with readers and non-readers at home. She will be giving helpful tips and tools
for the school year as well as summer break.

Independent Bank is giving away four $5,000 awards to local schools for their academic programs.
