* Parent Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching! In your child's Friday folder you will find a conference preference form. Please indicate which day (Tuesday or Thursday) works best with your schedule and if you have a time preference (i.e. after 5:00). I will try my best to consider your preferences when selecting time slots. Also, please note that the day/time you get for fall conferences will be the same day/time you get for spring conferences. Please return these forms by: Tuesday, October 13th.
* Michigan Munchies- The fourth graders are starting to raise money for their end of the year field trip to Mackinac Island by selling baked goods at lunch every Wednesday. They are being sold for $0.50 (one treat per child) This will start next week Wednesday and will continue for most of the school year.
* Reading bags are going to start coming home next week. We're going to start practicing by sending home paper books, then beginning the week of Oct. 19th I'll be sending home books from my reading groups. But I'd like everyone to get into the habit of reading the books at home two times, recording the books in the reading log and then returning the books the following day.

- Math pages from this week- we are learning about comparing sets of objects using the words greater than, less than or the same as.

- Art work
- Completed center work
* Hearts of Gold T-shirts/ socks will go on sale starting next week. $15 for shirts, $10 socks They will be sold outside of the main office.
* Next Friday, October 16th- everyone at Lakeside should wear MSU or UofM colors to get everyone pumped up for the big game that weekend! I hope to see lots of green and white =)
